Hi!! I need to make sure I’m not crazy and also vent to people who may understand. I have a residential cleaning company, my partner and I do the cleaning and administration completely on our own.

I have many clients who will straight up ignore their invoices for days and days. These are people who I am a thousand percent confident always have the money for it. It’s not a financial issue.

I send reminders every day and I can SEE that they look at them and then just don’t pay. I have hundreds of dollars missing in unpaid invoices constantly.

What the hell do I say to these jackasses to make them realize I shouldn’t have to remind them to pay their bills? One lady told me that if she forgets to just text her and remind her. NO. I’m not your god damn mom.

I am FINALLY switching invoicing systems, and clients are now required to either set up auto pay or have their card on file for us to charge after the service. But I’m irritated that I’m doing this work simply because these people are inconsiderate and can’t just pay on time.

Is there anyone with businesses that are similar (lawn care or something along those lines) who also invoice their clients… do you expect your clients to pay promptly? How promt? And at what point do you think I should tell some of these people to lose my number? I
