I went back to school for Accounting and got my CPA but couldn’t find a full time job with a company whose culture and values aligned with mine so here I am starting my own bookkeeping business. I was fortunate enough to find a great company who only needed a part time accountant so I have the luxury of an income while I find my own customers. Also working one shift a week at a gas station! Has anyone else felt forced to become self employed in order to do the work they love in a way that aligns with their own goals and values?
