A majority of our team has excellent attendance but a few people call in sick last minute about 3 times a month dustupting operations. I get life happens but how do you deal with it so people don’t take advantage? We do offer 5 days of sick pay per year but if people exceed that with good reason, we haven’t really reprimanded them. Should we just say if you exceed your 5 days, it’s an unexcused absence (grounds for termination)?
