I’m running a small operation with 3 awesome local employees who’ve been absolute rockstars. But truth bomb: we’re drowning in booking requests and online customer inquiries. Need at least two more people handling this stuff ASAP.
Technically, this work could be done remotely (it’s mostly email/scheduling/customer chat). My heart says “hire local” because I love supporting our community and having everyone in one place. But my bank account is giving me serious side-eye 👀
If I’m being brutally honest with myself, I can’t afford two more local salaries long-term. The math just doesn’t math.
Has anyone here made the jump to virtual assistants for these kinds of tasks? Did it work out? Any horror stories or success stories to share? Any particular platforms you’d recommend?
Just trying to be practical while not feeling like I’m selling out on my “support local” values.
