This is really just a small vent. I’ve owned my own business since 2021, and it is a service-based business that relies on me to do the work (book editing). It’s my dream job. I love it. I set my own hours and do what I want.
But I’m tied to my phone, never able to let a lead sit because I can’t afford to lose potential clients. I have to think about marketing and taxes and the future all the time.
Do you remember when you had a shitty job and forgot it even existed when you clocked out? Sometimes, I feel burnt out and miss that, even though I have so much more ‘freedom’ now.
