I’m in the process of launching my own business and I’m considering whether or not get any external design support with branding.

My background is in marketing (but not as a graphic designer), and I can make a basic wordmark logo and consistent brand colours myself…but at SOME point I’ll likely want to get a professional designer to help create a more refined look and feel. The question is whether I want to add any more expenses to my setup costs.

Curious at what stage other people spent money on this in their own businesses? And if at an early stage of the business, how much you spent?
