My husband‘s parents have run a convenience store for years, and his grandparents before that. It’s come time for his parents to retire. We are in a pretty rural area of eastern Alabama. I’m originally from the West Coast where I was a banker and had a solid “what makes a business” understanding but I’m new to Alabama. I’ve done some research about filing with the Secretary of State and all that, but I’m worried that I’m missing something. Anyone here in Alabama able to help dumb down the process for me? Or really any words of wisdom!
