​Family/friend jealousy from owning your own biz?

Recently started my own small business and instead of the support, encouragement, and excitement I naively expected from friends and family, I’m instead experiencing what I believe to be their jealousy. Has anyone else experienced this? Why is owning a business so threatening to others that you should feel safe in sharing your aspirations and goals with? Any tips on how to navigate this?
