Unethical Practices That Cost My Small Business Thousands

Wholesale Payment Processors scammed my small business out of thousands of dollars and treated us with complete disregard. I was referred to them during my training as a Sam The Concrete Man franchise owner. Their contract clearly outlined $10 monthly fees and 3.5% transaction costs, yet I was charged $74.95 every month starting in April 2021—without ever using their services even once. Over the years, they failed to send a single invoice or communication, despite having accurate contact details and my request for mailed statements.

When I finally discovered these unauthorized charges, resolving the issue became a nightmare. I called their customer service over 10 times and was consistently told they had no record of my business. After being redirected to multiple departments, they eventually acknowledged my account but admitted that their records were riddled with errors, including incorrect addresses. Despite these errors being entirely their fault, they refused to issue a refund for the thousands of dollars they improperly withdrew from my account.

After wasting hours on phone calls, providing extensive documentation, and submitting cancellation paperwork, the charges still continued. I even returned the unused mobile credit card processor, yet Wholesale Payment Processors failed to stop the withdrawals or take responsibility for their blatant mismanagement.

To make matters worse, the sales representative who originally signed me up, Scott Lenord, denied any association with Wholesale Payment Processors and threatened me personally when I contacted him for information. His behavior was shockingly unprofessional and added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating ordeal.

I have since reported this situation to my state’s attorney general, who has taken on the case due to the company’s blatant violation of consumer protection laws. Their unethical practices, deceptive billing, and refusal to provide transparency or accountability have caused significant financial and emotional harm to my small business.

Wholesale Payment Processors’ actions are not only unprofessional but outright fraudulent. Their lack of integrity and disregard for their customers make them a serious risk to anyone considering their services.

Avoid this company at all costs. Save yourself the time, money, and stress they caused me and my business.
