After years of hard work and grinding, I am finally my own boss. I just completed my first two months as a business owner. I closed two deals and made over $1500. I know it isn’t much, but I’m happy.
I had been working for a marketing agency, where I used to do logos, brand identity design, and social media marketing (mainly content creation). Even though I managed the entire social media section alone, I still had to take orders from the CEO’s son, a fresh graduate straight out of college who was appointed as my boss. I didn’t like that, not because he was younger than me, but because he frequently slashed my offerings to clients, completely ignoring my experience. They did lose quite a few clients, but they were too arrogant to recognize and admit it.
Well, I’m my own boss now, and I’m really happy.
I’m currently working as a sole proprietor, but someone suggested that I should get an LLC. I won’t be hiring employees anytime soon, so is it still worth getting an LLC ?
