Small business, 32 remote employees across 6 states. Major problem with equipment recovery when people leave.

Last 6 months:

• 4 employees quit/terminated
• Only 1 actually returned their laptop
• Other 3: sent multiple emails, they keep promising to return it “next week”
• Been 3+ months for one of them

Currently our process:

• Send departing employee a FedEx label
• Hope they actually use it
• Send reminder emails
• Eventually give up and write it off

This is costing us thousands. Each laptop is $1,500-2,000 and we’re losing 75% of equipment when people leave.

Need solution that:

• Actually gets equipment back reliably
• Handles the logistics/shipping automatically
• Maybe even has local pickup for difficult cases
• Works across different states

What are other small businesses using for equipment recovery? There has to be a better way than hoping people return stuff.
