I know this subreddit might hate this type of post since it’s more about relaxing rather than the day to day operations of running a business or being entrepreneurial, but over a year I posted on r/Entrepreneur about how I planned on leaving my job and starting my own SEO agency. I won’t make this post too long since the title is self explanatory but when I left that job there was a huge part of me that worried about the potential risk I would be taking on and more so the lifestyle I would be giving up especially when it comes to how it affects those I care about.

I mean prior to this while working at my original SEO agency job my fiancé and I would vacation all the time, money wasn’t great but I knew I would have a solid paycheck every 15th and 30th of the month and without that I just wasn’t sure I would ever reach a point where I could get back to this lifestyle but I knew I had to take the leap and trust in my abilities. So for the last year I’ve been grinding head down and nose to the grind nonstop. That meant no vacations, no days off, and most importantly no paycheck that I got to feel comfort in. I was essentially in a mode where it was you eat what you kill; however, I’m happy to report back to you guys and say for the first time in over a year I finally feel some sort of relief and decided to take some time to myself and go on vacation using some of the money I’ve made from my own SEO business.

It feels great to be able to create my own joy and opportunities like this versus just collecting a paycheck, but I will say a part of me almost feels guilty for taking some time off as I’ve gotten so use to the daily grind but I figure this is almost necessary so I don’t burn myself out and I’m hoping to come back almost renewed and ready for more action. Just wanted to update you guys and thank you so much as you were here when I first made the announcement of going solo and hopefully you’ll still be here when I make more future announcements of big milestones.
