I Dont have any one so here i am sharing this with random people on internet.
I had been laboring my ass off at a marketing firm, it was an unpaid internship so i had to work the night waiting tables.
I was tying to learn about digital marketing but i was more interested in the design side of things, specializing in branding and marketing material design.
Since I was working really hard and every one at the firm including the CEO and many of their long term clients liked me and my work so I was hoping they would offer if any entry level position opened up, but i guess fate wasnt on my side, opening came and was promptly given to the CEO’s son.
I had enough, and i decided to go solo, today after 2 months i finally have my first paying client, i will be designing their logo and 3 to 4 social media posts every month.
This is a dream come true and i cant express the joy, i am really good with designing, people would frequently ask to commission me for their logos instead of the full time designers back when i was interning, but i dont know the business side of things, what should i prepare for ? Taxes, marketing, management, right now i have just established my payment channel and a PDF portfolio.
