I’m not thrilled with the work of the vendor I hired. The owner keeps following up with messages like “Please say something nice about us.” I offer B2B services as well, I know that many small businesses live and die by their customer satisfaction ratings, same as I do. I’m also not outraged enough to leave a scathing review, I feel that leaving zero review is a form of kindness compared to publishing the truth about everything that went wrong. The owner already knows about everything that went wrong, I’m frankly surprised he solicited a review.

The money is spent, project is done, there’s no way they can remediate the project to satisfaction unless they rip it all out and do it over. I signed a change order to split the increased cost of fixing some of their mistakes to ensure the project reached completion, even if unsatisfactory. I’m ready to terminate the relationship and politely move forward. I’m not sure how to respond to the request for review, though.
