Is there anything that can be done when a hotel takes your employees directly from you as you work for them as a subcontractor. It’s not specified in the contract that they can’t take my employees and I’m a fool for not writing that in. They took 3 employees and the employees quit on me today even though they were supposed to work. I was working as a cleaning company for the hotel in 2 of their locations. They poached all 3 and are using them at both locations and had the audacity to ask me to go to a new third location today because they “didn’t have work” at the 2 locations (this never happens). The employees no showed and I had a feeling this happened so I went and checked. Then I confronted one of the managers at one location and she at first tried hiding the employees, then finally admitted they were there. Then she laughed at me and said “good luck with your business”. Then the other manager said some choice words too when I confronted her through text. They don’t see anything wrong in what they did when I was there to help them as they were going through a bunch of transitions. This is unbelievable and infuriating. This happened in Jacksonville, Florida.
