I have 2 employees at my bakery 30hr/wk 20$/hr they but I know the extreme costs of independent insurance so I want to provide a 75% employer paid health dental vision short/long term disability + basic life and 401k with 6% match.
I was quoted and it’s about 20% of my monthly revenue gross to pay all the benefits which I believe I can afford.
Has anyone already done something like this as a super small business and worked it out where the tax breaks made it more attractive?
Either way I’m going to go with taking care of my employees, but I was curious to know anyone else’s experience on the matter.
My business grosses about 240k yearly as a S corp.
