Ideas into Reality

Most people probably know this already but; You don’t have to win a lot, you just need a few wins.

One of the most important lessons that I learned while building my business that worked for me;

Lesson 2: You don’t have to win a lot, you just need a few wins.

At the beginning of my journey, I’d always thought that every action I do, every single effort I make, would need to be a win as it’ll show me that I’m “doing the right thing” or “being on the right path”.

Every piece of content that I post has to get hundreds/thousands of likes. For every lead that comes in, I have to close them. Every client I successfully closed, I have to retain them.

Of course, being able to do all that would be PERFECT, but in reality, that mostly isn’t the case.

One day I stumbled upon a post on IG about sales closing. I can’t remember the exact words, but it’s along the lines of;

Sales is a numbers game. You do not have to close every single call you make. You just need to close a few. So make a ton of calls.

And from there on, something just clicked.

I immediately thought to myself;

Okay, so I don’t need every piece of my content to go viral. Instead, I just need to post a lot more. Even if it’s just 1 out of 100 content I posted that gains traction, I’m good. I don’t need to close every single lead that came in. If during the first few touches, we feel that we’re not the right fit for each other, just move on to the other leads. Instead, I need to focus on increasing the number of leads coming in.

Understanding that, I shifted the way I see and do things.

I no longer spend the whole day just to write a piece of content that I might not even post because I think it won’t perform well. I no longer stress myself out on my sales closing rate.

And I must say, it helped me to be more productive and overall, just more efficient.

Work gets done, is what I’m trying to say.

So, the lesson that worked for me is,

You don’t have to win a lot, you just need a few wins. But to have a few wins, you will have to do a lot. So don’t be afraid to fail, and JUST DO.

Hope it helps, best of luck and Godspeed to everyone!
