Running an appliance repair business. Customer has us come out on a dishwasher. We quote a repair, she agrees, we schedule the appointment.

On the day of repair, the tech is about halfway done and she comes in and says she has to leave, and he needs to be done. He tells her he can’t be finished that quick, and she walks away.

She calls our store, and says she has to leave and the technician refused to leave her home. Not exactly how it went down, but okay. I called him, he says he isn’t finished. I tell him to write something down and have her sign off she is asking us to leave with the job not complete. He picks up the best he can, she signs, we leave.

Cue the phone call. Her floor is damaged, and it’s all our fault. A small amount of water leaked out of the dishwasher (while disconnected) and on to the floor.

This wouldn’t have happened if she had let us finish the job. And it wasn’t like an emergency. She double booked out appointment with another meeting she had.

I feel like I want to pull my hair out!
