I own a diesel repair shop going on 6 years this August. I’m a “One Man Army”, and have been since the start. I live in a town of about 35,000 with multiple surrounding “small towns”, all of which contain “people that know people”. I’ve been working with a locally owned business for the last 5 years, servicing and repairing multiple vehicles. Last winter I quoted a job at the “worst case scenario” price, only for them to tell me they’re going to trade it off. OK fine. They come in today, wanting me to come look at said vehicle because they had everything fixed for $6000 more than what I quoted, and now it leaks and doesn’t run. This is now the second time this has happened with this customer, all because the owner knows someone at the other shops. Do I tell them they’re on their own now

UPDATE: I went and looked at it, confirmed the issues, and gave them their options. Thanks for the advice
