Friend wants to hang out in my shop… with a kid

I just opened a small framing shop. I have a friend living in a very chaotic household who has decided my shop is her safe place and I’m torn. I want her to have some peace but it’s pretty disruptive to my flow. The thing is, she brings her toddler grandchild with her and let’s her roam free. I installed a baby gate to the workshop because my wall cutter is right at eyeball level to the kid, not to mention the saws, glass, razors & customer artwork stored in that area. Now I’m left entertaining my friend and wrangling this child for often over an hour at a time. She gets into everything! The Keurig pods, product on shelves, my calculator, etc. Because of her depression, my friend doesn’t take care of herself very well and has issues with dress & hygiene. I have to turn up my scent diffuser when they visit. Being a new business, I’m not inundated with customers so that’s not been an issue yet. But I am afraid it will cause problems. I know I need boundaries so I’m asking for suggestions to help while being compassionate. My plan so far is to ask her to reach out to me before she comes to see if I’m busy. I’ve thought about asking her to sign a “hold harmless” form in case the kid gets hurt there. I don’t want to just kick her out because that will be crushing to her emotionally. So, now what?
