​My partner destroyed my business before, now he is begging to rejoin

This guy was my ex-business partner, and his negligence wrecked my business, forcing me to start over. Now he wants back in.

I’m a freelance logo and brand identity designer who’s known for delivering great work on time. But when I partnered with him, all that got overlooked. He’s my wife’s cousin, and since they’re close, she thought it’d be a good idea. I let my feelings for her get in the way of better judgment.

He missed deadlines, ignored clients, never called back, and even plagiarized content. Things got so bad that I lost business and had to rebuild from scratch.

Now that business is picking up again, he’s asking my wife for another shot. I don’t want to bring him back because he has no work ethic, but my wife is really pushing for it.

I’ve told her I’m too busy to decide right now and need time to think. What should I do?

What would you do? I’m guessing most of you will say no, and I’m leaning that way too, but if you think it’s worth giving him another chance, why?
