Can we permanently ban Wosily mentions in this subreddit + ban new threads being posted from accounts that don’t have rich enough post history? They’ve been astrotruf spamming ads for their service for weeks now in this sub to boost their SEO.

They keep posting fake threads on marketing advice and then the top comment is conveniently an answer that follows the same GPT generated format where Wosily is mentioned as a solution to their problems. This vote is then upvoted so it’s always the top result. It’s hard to show direct results because they always cover their tracks and delete the threads once they are called out.

A recent example (the posts were promptly deleted once the post was called out):

https://www.reddit.com/r/smallbusiness/comments/1fnjarb/how_do_i_grow_my_online_business_without_a_large/lojm0kb/?context=10000

Another (this time I quoted the content of comment, read it to see the format they use):

https://www.reddit.com/r/smallbusiness/comments/1fkftcx/what_are_the_best_practices_to_increase_my/lnx6g22/?context=10000

Yet another (see the blue comment):

https://www.reveddit.com/v/smallbusiness/comments/1fhzr3j/what_are_some_tools_that_you_actually_pay_for/

They are always from accounts like this that have no rich post history. Never older than 6mo, never more than a few basic comments on random subs like “nice pics”, just enough to get over the basic new account filters reddit has: https://www.reddit.com/user/Plenty-Exchange-5355

I unfortunately didn’t save the usernames of all the recent posts because sadly when a user deletes their own content it also gets rid of the record of who made it. But they all follow the same vibe as above, a user with fake post history on a recent account makes a fake thread asking for marketing advice then another fake user posts the thinly veiled ad for Wosily.

I think they’ve earned a perma-ban for this non-stop advertising, lets just blanket auto-remove all comments that mention them. I also think it’d make a lot of sense to ban any account from making threads that aren’t probably from a real human. Not sure how you do this – more than a year old, a long history of “real” comments posted on the sub already, post content that shows a real personality/typing style or something? Whatever it is don’t tell us what the real metrics are cause otherwise the bots will adapt.
