My dad is currently the owner of a software / scale hardware company. He bought it from his father a few years ago and is the sole programmer / troubleshooter. So he’s the owner and pretty much runs the entire business. He is never off the phone and is visibly drowning in stress. He has type two diabetes and I think the stress worsens it. I’m currently employed by him to try and help with some busy work, answering phones, selling his old equipment on eBay, etc. he is a sole provider for my family, bought me and my siblings cars, pays our insurance, put us through school, etc. I love him so much and can’t express the gratitude I feel. The business grosses a lot of money, but from what I understand he doesn’t know how to save any of it. I don’t know how to help him. What would you do if you were in his situation to change your life for the better? What business and life decisions would you make? I don’t know much about business management or finance.
