I signed up with an IT company and they came in and installed a bunch of programs on my computer. A few days after they did this, I started having networking issues with scanning to folder from our Canon printer. Over the past 6 years I’ve always been able to resolve these sorts of issues with Canon support but this time they said they couldn’t help as it was a DNS issue and I had to call our IT.
Anyway, they came in the first time and thought they fixed it, but the problem persisted over the next few days so I had to call them back. Then they came in and resolved it by connecting an ethernet cord to my laptop’s usb hubs and now I can only scan to folder if my laptop is connected by ethernet cable.
They’re charging $900 (+ another $20 for an ethernet cable which we had plenty of and they didn’t bother to ask) for this service. Am I wrong to think that this problem was caused by something they did and feel it’s a little unjust to be charged so much for what I would think is a basic problem?
