I’m a captain at a major airline living in NYC. I make over $350K/yr working on-call. My schedule requires me to be on-call 18 days a month, but on average I only end up getting called 5-10 days a month. I have enough extra time and money to run a business, but I don’t really know where to start.

I’ve considered real estate which seems to be the most common and straight forward way to leverage extra money, but I think I want a more hands-on approach to business ownership.

It sounds silly, but I’ve always wanted to wear a suit to work and have clients. I’m obsessed with all things finances and have considered some type of “financial consulting” but I’m not sure how much of that I could do without any certifications. Any ideas?
