I’ve grown older and disabled, and don’t feel well all the time. I just want to give my (25 yo, 100k in sales annually , when things were good) business a chance to survive, though it’s flailing because of my lack of marketing, and current inability. I want to pass it on to a past employee, and she’s interested. Though I’ve been eking by, things will get better because I’m going to build a rental apartment in my house. I don’t need much – I live very simply. I don’t know how much I should ask for her to pay me. I’m thinking of a percentage of sales, rather than a purchase. I have no idea how to structure that. I’ve tried to sell it a couple times. We were ready to sign a contract the week of covid lockdown, and the buyers backed out. I know this former employee doesn’t have the means to purchase. I’m at the point where I don’t really care. What would you do if you were me?
