Posting on behalf of a friend that doesn’t have reddit but wants advice:
People love coming to her store to check out her stuff. She’s like a creepy oddities thrift store. People love to come spend time with her but it rarely turns into a sale. When she posted she’d be closing hundreds of people were heartbroken because she’s a pillar of the community but where is that energy when it comes to buying something
How can she profit off of her friendliness? She’s tried classes, movie nights, social events, nobody wants to pay but they all want to say hi and hang out with her.
I’ve watched her during pop ups and she gets at least 20 people come by just to chit chat with her but she’ll make maybe 4 sales.
Thanks in advance for the analysis!
