Last week an employee of 2 years told me they wanted to leave and get another job. We are on good terms, they wanted to give me the heads up before finding another job. So I could plan for it. Yesterday he found out that a job he wanted had gone to someone else. Now he is saying that he feels like staying in the job at my company. I don’t really want someone who is thinking of leaving to hang around. Where do I stand with this as the employer?
