I’ve had a business relationship with a person who runs a handyman business. I sub out contracts to them. One of my clients needed a lot of different jobs done. The first couple of jobs were great. Everyone was happy with work, price, and we got paid. I still have the contract with the client while she sells her house. When I left to get supplies for another job, the sub came in and made a deal with the client to do more work without telling me. She wasn’t happy with the work but told me what happened. What recourse do I have? I have it in my contracts that subs can’t be hired by the client if im still in contract with them. Is the homeowner on the hook too since they breached a contract?
