I am a massage therapist that does in home massages. I drive to the clients home and set up my table and towel warmer in their home. I charge $95 for an hour as long as the client is within the a 15 mile radius.
I have a client who hurt their neck and messaged me this morning about getting a massage. I have littles at home ad so I let them know I would have to wait until my spouse got home today after work or I could do Friday evening.
I then messaged my spouse letting them know the situation and that I would like to help my client asap. My spouse then responds with “That’s an up charge for same day emergency work, right?!? RIGHT??!!”
I like to put myself in the clients place and think about how I would feel if I was in bad pain and reached out for help and then was told about a same day booking up charge. I don’t know, I don’t like the idea of capitalizing on someone’s immediate pain.
So should I up charge for same day booking or should I not?
