Just wanted to share what’s worked really well for me in the service space. I run a small operation coordinating home services like House cleanings, junk removal, pool maintenance, lawn work, fence work, etc., and Real estate agents and new home owners have consistently kept me busy.
New homeowners – When someone buys a house, they almost always need work done. Yard cleanup, hauling trash, basic repairs, pressure washing, and the list goes on. Most of the time they don’t know who to call, especially if they just moved to a new city. If you’re the first person who shows up and gets the job done, there’s a good chance they’ll stick with you.
I pull data from public county records to see which homes recently sold, then send simple marketing, nothing fancy. Flyers, postcards, or door hangers. These leads are fresh, they usually need multiple things done, and they’re not shopping around on Google yet.
Real estate agents and property managers – These folks are constantly dealing with listings that need to be cleaned, fixed, or made presentable. That along with their clients always ask them, “Do you know someone who can fix XYZ?”
If you make a good impression with an agent, they’ll send you work over and over again.
You don’t need to run big ads or pour money into marketing. If you’re just getting started or trying to pick up more consistent work, I’d focus on those two groups first. They’ve been the most responsive and reliable in terms of steady income.
