I’m not really asking about laws or anything like that… I’m mostly asking about decency of being a human. Basically, A client (well, now ex-client) of mine died extremely suddenly three days ago and I just found out about it. I have only a business relationship with him, and only have contact information of his sister because she was on a few emails and her email signature contains her phone number.

He owed me about $800 for the remainder of a job I did for him two weeks ago. I am in the busy season right now, and we are talking about a physical product, so it ACTUALLY would be a fiscal loss to not recover the money.
