I’ve been working on my business for 10 years. The first 6 were part time, the past 4 have been full time.
I’ve went from $20k in revenue, to $250k, to $750k to $1m (projected).
The past year has been the hardest I’ve worked. Haven’t really taken any days “off”. Each week has been 70+ hours. There’s been a stretch of some 90-110 hour weeks as well.
I’ve had to miss vacations, weddings, etc. I live hundreds of miles away from friends and family.
All of this and the amount I’m able to pay myself is pathetic.
I’ve continuously put a lot of work into the business, and re-invested into the business. With the hope that one day it will pay back. It does not look like that day is coming.
Next year when we hit $1 m, all extra cash will go towards paying off debt.
I really would like to pivot into another industry, but I can’t just quit. I have debt, PG leases, and employees.
I don’t really have anyone to share this with, which is why I’m sharing on Reddit. Has anyone gone through something similar? How did you get through it? Thanks in advance.
